Our mission is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others be supportive. TCF is a national non-profit, self-help organization that offers friendship, understanding, and hope to families grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause

The secret of TCF’s success if simple, seasoned grievers reach out to the newly bereaved to help them get through the loss of their child, grandchild or sibling. TCF offers friendship and understanding and reaches out to all bereaved parents, grandparents and adult sibling across barriers of religion, race, income or ethnic group.

TCF was founded in 1969 in England with the first chapter in the United States established in 1972. TCF operates in thirty countries, with over 600 chapters in the US alone.
