Dr. Richard Dew will be the guest speaker at our May meeting

Dr. Dew became a bereaved parent when his 21 year old son Bradley was murdered in 1992. He became involved in The Compassionate Friends and has appeared as a guest speaker at TCF National Conferences. Dr. Dew is a former Memphian and received his medical training here. As a family practice physician, he will share from his experience and wisdom how to recognize normal grief from depression and when it might be necessary to medicate…and when medication may not be the best route. After his talk, he will open the floor for questions. Dr. Dew is the author of two books. Rachel’s Cry is a collection of poetry reflecting the grief process, and Tunnel of Light which is a novel dealing with the stresses on a marriage that often follow the death of a child. Please join us May 6th for this informative meeting.
